How to install

Appearance, Support and About

Three entries sit at the bottom of the sidebar. Appearance sets how the panel looks in your browser, Support is where to get help, and About says what this install is.

Open Appearance and choose Light, Dark or System, which follows your device. Under Theme color, pick one of seven accent colors. Blue is the default.

The choice is kept in your browser and applies to every open tab of the panel at once. Each browser keeps its own.

The Support page with the community and Enterprise cards
Section What it offers
Community support The community forum, where people running WPL7 help each other. Open community forum goes there
Enterprise package Hotfixes, priority email support and a dedicated engineer, for businesses that run WPL7 in production. Explore Enterprise opens its page on wpl7.com
Found a bug? GitHub issues, or a private report for a security problem

Open About, or choose the version in the header. Three cards describe the install:

Card Shows
Version Version, commit, channel, the last update check and whether a newer version is out
Machine The panel’s server: system, kernel, CPU, memory, uptime and Docker
Network Its address, reverse DNS, the panel’s domain, Node and how long the panel has been up

Check for updates asks for a new version at once. Applying one is on Updating WPL7.

The About page with the version, machine and network cards

Send feedback on the About page offers three kinds of message:

  • Something is broken and Something is missing open a new GitHub issue in your browser, under your own account. Nothing is sent from the panel.
  • A question or an idea is sent by the panel to the community forum. Nothing is public until you post it there yourself.

Include what this install is adds the build and the machine, without addresses, domains or site names. Read a pasted log for passwords and customer domains before you send it.

  • The theme and accent belong to the browser, not to your account. They do not follow you to another device.
  • The Machine card describes the panel’s own server, not the other servers.
  • The Enterprise package is a premium service offered on wpl7.com, not inside the panel.
