How the WPL7 website handles your personal data – in plain language.

Last updated: October 2026

Who we are

This policy explains how personal data is handled on the WPL7 website – the website at this domain. The website is operated by Ondrej Forda, IC: 74109596, Czech Republic (“WPL7”, “we”, “us”). If you have any questions, email us at [email protected].

What this website collects

  • Server logs. Like most websites, our web server records basic technical data when you visit: your IP address, the date and time, the page you requested, the referring page and your browser’s user agent. We use these logs to keep the website running and secure.
  • No tracking or marketing cookies. We don’t use analytics, tracking or advertising cookies. If we add any in the future, we’ll update this policy first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
  • Functional cookies for logged-in users. The website runs on WordPress, which may set functional cookies for people who log in (for example, our own administrators). Visitors who don’t log in don’t receive them.

Emails you send us

When you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you write. We use this only to reply to you and to provide the service you asked about.

Payments

Payments for Managed setup and Premium support are handled by Stripe. You enter your card details on Stripe’s checkout, not on our website, and Stripe processes them under its own privacy policy. We never see or store your full card number.

Stripe sends us the order details – such as your name, email address, billing country, the service you bought, the amount and the payment status – so we can deliver the service, send invoices and keep our accounting records.

Why we process your data

  • To run and protect the website (our legitimate interest in a working, secure website).
  • To answer your messages and deliver the services you buy (to perform our contract with you, or to take steps you asked for before one).
  • To keep accounting and tax records (a legal obligation).

How long we keep it

  • Server logs: for a short period of 30 days, unless we need them longer to investigate a security incident.
  • Emails: for as long as we need them to handle your request and any follow-up, then we delete them.
  • Order and invoice records: for as long as tax and accounting law requires.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • give you access to the personal data we hold about you;
  • correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
  • delete your data, unless the law requires us to keep it.

To make a request, email [email protected]. If you think we’ve handled your data wrongly, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

The self-hosted WPL7 software

WPL7 is self-hosted software: it runs on your own servers, and the data in your installation stays with you. We don’t receive any data from your installation, and the software has no telemetry – it doesn’t send usage statistics or error reports back to us.

The only external lookups the software makes, such as checking for known vulnerabilities via wpvulnerability.net, are described in the security and privacy documentation.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the website or our services change. When we do, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
